About Julio Garcia
The main character behind this coffee is Julio Garcia, a native of the village of Congolon in the San Andrés region. While working for several coffee farms ever since the late ‘90, Julio developed an interest in having a coffee farm of his own.
In 2016, after having saved enough money and having learned so much about growing coffee, Julio purchased a plot of land and started his own coffee farm. With the guidance of his neighbors he established two hectares of Catuai plants. The 2022/23 coffee year is the first time Julio has produced specialty microlots, as he aspires to achieve economic sustainability through coffee.

- Dose: 15 g
- Water: 250 g
- Temperature water: 96 °C
- Grind size: Commandante 23 clicks / microns ca 650 / Coarse: medium fine
Bloom with 50 g water, wait for 30 sec. Then circle pour until 250 g. End the pour by 1:20 min. Aim for a total brewing time of 2:30 min.
Aeropress (reversed)
- Dose: 18 g
- Water: 200 g
- Temperature water: 92 °C
- Grind size: Commandante 13 clicks / microns ca 400 / Coarse: fine
Bloom with 60 g water, stir for 10 sec. Then pour until 220 g, put on the cap with filter and wait until 2:30 min, reverse it onto a server and push until 3:00 min. Enjoy!
