Coffee in progress
Coffee in Progress is about sustainability and quality. When we get new green beans delivered to our roastery, we work towards setting a roast profile that will bring out all the great flavors of that specific coffee. Sometimes, that takes a few roasts. So what do we do with this coffee, that is good but not yet great? Well, we don´t want to sell it for its normal price, since we don´t think the flavors are quite there yet. And we don´t want to waste it, since sustainably, that would be a bad decision. So we decided we´ll sell it for a reduced price - so that you can follow the roast improvements (and also get a good coffee for a great price!)
At da Matteo, we love good coffee. So much that we compete in barista competitions and travel to the other side of the world to find the best produce. But most of all, we work hard to exceed your expectations as a guest when it comes to flavor, experience and service. Good food, tasty pastries and artisanal bread also helps. And nice cafes in the heart of Gothenburg, in spaces that has a history to tell. Welcome.
Truly special - it´s about sustainability
Truly Special is a self scanning program which allows you as a consumer of our coffee, to really find out how that particular coffee was grown, harvested and processed - all with sustainability in focus. We also evaluate the quality of the process and the flavor of the coffee, according to international standards. This gives you an in depth insight into the coffee you are drinking and hopefully helps you make sustainable choices when choosing your coffee.
