Comments from the roaster: This is the roasted batch of the mandatory coffee that we used for Nordics Best Roasters competition. So now you have the chance to actually taste both our competition coffees!
Rescued Coffee:
Rescued Coffee is about sustainability and quality. When we have coffees in our roastery for longer than four weeks from roast date, we don't want to sell them for its normal price, but we definitely don’t want to waste them either - so that’s why we decided to start selling them for a reduced price. It will only be every once in a while that we have Rescued Coffee on offer, but it is a great way of getting your hands on great coffee for a great price. The taste differences will be minimal.
Normally we don't have Indonesian coffees in our sortiment, that's why you haven't seen this coffee in our webshop before. We must say that we are impressed by the quality of this coffee.
About the coffee:
The producer cooperative that produced this Fully washed lot is expanding Indonesia's coffee-producing traditions by diversifying processing methods. And this lot nails it. When cupping this coffee we tasted notes of caramel, raisins, rum and black tea and we experienced a great lingering aftertaste. This coffee is sure to make you reconsider what you think you know about Indonesian coffee.
