Vacancy barista

We’re looking for baristas to join da Matteo.

We’re entering a new chapter as a company, and we’re looking for people who want to be part of it in a meaningful way, through the work, the team, and the standards that shape the guest experience every day.

This is not a role for someone who is only looking for somewhere to work. It is for someone who cares about what hospitality can feel like when it is done properly, and who wants to be part of creating that, shift after shift.

We’re looking for people who understand the craft and respect the work. You know how to move with pace without losing presence. You know that being a great barista is about more than coffee technique. It is also about consistency, awareness, generosity and the ability to read the room. You care about quality, and you care about people. You understand that one is never as strong without the other.

At da Matteo, coffee is only one part of the whole. It sits alongside bakery, kitchen and service, and together these parts shape how a place feels. We care about details because they are never just details. They affect the atmosphere, the rhythm, the guest’s experience and the way a place is remembered. We care about hospitality because people notice when it is real. And we believe the best teams are built by people who take responsibility, help each other, and bring standards into the everyday work without making a show of it.

We’re building for the long term. This is a place where people stay, grow and become an important part of the whole over time. Some of our colleagues have been with us for ten, fifteen, even twenty years. That says something about the kind of place we want to be. We value experience, but not only the kind measured in years. We also value the kind you see in someone’s standards, reliability, problem-solving and the way they show up for the work, the guests and the team, day after day.

 

We’re looking for someone who:

• has solid experience from café, coffee or hospitality
• is confident in service and comfortable in a high-tempo environment
• works with precision, responsibility and attention to detail
• understands the difference between service and hospitality, and knows that real hospitality is not a script, but a way of being
• is solution-oriented and handles the unexpected with calm, care and common sense
• wants to keep learning and contribute to raising the level of the team
• speaks Swedish and/or English
