Colombia - Alberto Calderon
We finally have an Anaerobic Natural coffee on our shelves again! It took a while, but we are very happy with this creamy and sweet coffee from Antonio Calderon. He
manages the 10-hectare La Esmeralda farm, nestled in the village of La Estrella at an elevation of 1440 metres above sea level. As a second-generation coffee producer, Alberto acquired his own farm three decades ago. He is a member of Cuatro Vientos, a family-owned business, offering microlots and regional blends.
Kenya - AA Inoi Ndimi
Not your typical Kenyan coffee. Yes, we found notes of berries while cupping this coffee, but more towards cloudberry. So sweet and slightly more acidic.
This washed Kenyan has been processed at the Ndimi Factory, managed by the Inoi Farmers’ Cooperative Society in Kirinyaga County. There are 540 active farmer members of the cooperative in this region that is known for its favourable conditions for coffee cultivation, such as its rich, fertile soil and elevated altitudes.
Ethiopia – Benti Nenka
With a little luck and quick decicion-making we managed to secure this lot from the Benti Nenka processing station in Guji, Ethiopia. Being the second time we purchase coffee from this cooperative, we're thrilled to find out that it's as consistent and offers the same amazing flavour profile as last season. We find it unique in the sense of its' complexity, as it doesn't taste like your regular Natural Ethiopian, but pushes towards a Washed type of florality and brightness. At the same time the coffee also offers a lot of tropical fruits + a citric freshness. Simply outstanding!
