Coffee farming runs deep for Yolanda Cabrera Alvarez. She grew up on the coffee farm and she now has passed on her passion for coffee cultivation to her own children, who are now adults helping on her on the farm Finca Sampedroyuc.
This farm sits at a wonderfully high altitude that is perfect for slow maturation of the coffee cherries. The family receives technical assistance from Valle Inca, which helps them grow highly productive coffee trees with unique characteristics. Yolanda and her family manually collect ripe red cherries and pro- cess them on their farm.
This coffee caught our attention at the cupping table because of its balance, along with a smooth sweet- ness from ripe prunes.
